Roblox Codes (September 2026) — What They Are & How to Redeem
“Roblox codes” actually means two completely different systems, and mixing them up is the #1 reason a valid code “fails.” This guide sorts it out in 60 seconds and shows you exactly how to redeem each.
Two types of codes — know the difference
1. Official codes (platform-wide) — gift cards and Roblox promo codes issued by Roblox Corporation. They give Robux, Roblox Credit, or an avatar item, and are redeemed on the website at roblox.com/redeem while logged in — never inside a game.
2. Game codes (in-game) — created by individual game developers and redeemed inside that game. Rewards vary: 2x XP in Blox Fruits, diamonds in Dress To Impress, revives in Doors, pets in Adopt Me.
Rule of thumb: if a code came from a game’s Discord or X account, redeem it in that game. If it came on a card or from a Roblox promotion, use the website.
How to redeem official codes (website)
- Log into the Roblox account you want the reward on.
- Go to roblox.com/redeem in a browser.
- Enter the code and click Redeem.
- A success message confirms your Robux / Credit / item.
Use a browser — the standard app and consoles don’t accept these (Samsung Galaxy is the exception via More → Redeem). Full walkthrough: how to redeem a Roblox gift card.
How to redeem game codes (in-game)
- Open the game through Roblox.
- Find the Codes entry point — usually a Settings gear, a gift/Codes button on the side menu, or (in older games) a Twitter/X bird icon.
- Paste the code exactly, watching spaces and capitalization.
- Press Redeem / Claim and check your inventory.
Popular game code lists:
- Blox Fruits codes — 2x EXP & stat resets
- Steal a Brainrot codes
Key tips for success
- Codes are case-sensitive —
SPIDERCOLAworks, spidercoladoesn’t. - Copy-paste instead of typing to avoid errors.
- Redeem quickly — many codes expire within days.
- One use per account (but you can use the same code on separate accounts).
- If it fails: it’s usually expired, misspelled, already used, or entered in the wrong system (website vs in-game).
⚠️ Warning about “free Robux” codes
- There are no legitimate codes that give free Robux. Roblox has never released official Robux codes.
- Code generators are scams. Only developers create codes, distributed through official channels.
- Never enter your Roblox password on any third-party site. The only legitimate redemption page is roblox.com/redeem.
Want real Robux? Use a gift card — see the Amazon gift card guide.
Where to find new codes
- Official: follow @Roblox on X/Instagram and watch seasonal events.
- Game codes: follow each game’s Discord and X — developers post codes at updates and milestones. Because each of Roblox’s millions of experiences has its own fast-expiring codes, check a regularly-updated list for the specific game you play.
Frequently asked questions

Do any Roblox codes give free Robux? No. Official codes give items or Credit; game codes give in-game rewards. Free-Robux code sites are scams.
Where do I redeem a gift card code? On the website at roblox.com/redeem — see our gift card redeem guide.
